Residents should call (504) 658-2299 for inquiries that normally
would have been addressed through 3-1-1, such as street light
outages, potholes, clogged drains, for information regarding
property taxes and parking tickets, and to register for the City
Assisted Evacuation Plan (CAEP) for assistance in the event of an
emergency.
Callers will receive a recorded message and a prompt to help them
reach the department they wish to contact. The below message will be
heard by each caller:
Thank you for calling the City of New Orleans. Please listen to the
available prompts and your call will be answered by a department
representative.
Press #1 for Public Works (street lights, potholes, clogged drains,
missing street signs and traffic signal outages)
Press #2 for Housing / Code Enforcement (status of a hearing, report
a blighted structure)
Press #3 for Environmental Health (vacant lot with high grass)
Press #4 for Department of Revenue (property taxes, sales taxes,
occupational licenses, sanitation fee removal)
Press #5 for Department of Parks & Parkways (City tree trim requests
or downed trees)
Press #6 for Emergency Preparedness (house elevation, hazardous
mitigation, City Assisted Evacuation Plan, Department of Homeland
Security)
Press #0 for all other Departments / Agencies
