Harrison Avenue Marketplace

The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association, along with Friends of Lakeview, are proud to present the Harrison Avenue Marketplace, a unique outdoor event taking place in the heart of Lakeview. The Marketplace is a family event with over 75 local vendors offering delicious foods, art, handmade crafts, gifts, and service information. In addition to kid friendly food, every market features plenty of themed activities for kids of all ages. New businesses open every month, families move into their homes, and every one of us loves living in Lakeview. Please stop by the market to enjoy all we have to offer. The Harrison Avenue Marketplace comes to life the 2nd Wednesday of each operating month from 5pm to 8:30pm at 801 Harrison Avenue in the restored Lakeview Grocery parking lot. So grab a friend and we’ll see you at the market! Click here to see for yourself what the Harrison Avenue Marketplace has to offer for you and your family!

The first ever outdoor market in Lakeview was established by The Beacon of Hope in 2007 to create and support businesses along the Harrison Avenue corridor. As the Marketplace grew, Beacon of Hope discovered that in addition to accomplishing this goal, the Beacons created a place where several generations of neighbors could reconnect.  In 2013, The Beacon of Hope generously passed on the Marketplace to LCIA and Friends of Lakeview to continue the event that has now become a special part of Lakeview. LCIA and Friends of Lakeview are so grateful for the efforts of The Beacon of Hope and its leaders for establishing and passing on this great event and for all that the Beacons have done throughout our community and throughout the City of New Orleans. Again, please join us at the Harrison Avenue Marketplace for delicious local food, drinks, kids activities, live music, special guests, unique arts & crafts, and so much more.
